We’re excited to invite you to a special free screening of the powerful film I Swear, followed by a conversation with the film’s producer Piers Tempest.
From 6pm, we’ll begin the full screening of I Swear inside the Stockroom Cinema. I Swear follows the true story of Tourette's Syndrome campaigner John Davidson's journey with Tourette's through his troubled teens and early adulthood.
After the film, we’ll be joined by the films acclaimed producer Piers Tempest for an in-depth conversation about the making of I Swear, the creative process behind the project, and the real-world stories that inspired it. Bring your questions!
About the artists and work
About Piers Tempest
Recent releases Tempest produced include EMILY, starring BAFTA winner Emma Mackey, as well as BANK OF DAVE, UNWELCOME and GIGI & NATE. Previously, Tempest produced OYSTER FARMER, which was nominated for Best Picture at the AFI Awards and opened the Commonwealth Film Festival; LIKE MINDS starring Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne; GRABBERS, which premiered at Sundance and was the recipient of five film festival audience awards; CHURCHILL starring Brian Cox; Sony Picture Classics THE WIFE starring Glenn Close, who won a Golden Globe, SAG Award, Critics’ Choice and Independent Spirit award and was nominated for a BAFTA and Academy Award.
He also produced Nick Hamm’s DRIVEN, which was selected as the closing film at the Venice Film Festival in 2018; the feature documentary TEDDY PENDERGRASS: IF YOU DONT KNOW ME with BBC Films and edited by Keighley Creative’s very own Riaz Meer; IFTA Best Picture winner ORDINARY LOVE; MILITARY WIVES starring Kristin Scott Thomas and Sharon Horgan; and LOVE WEDDING REPEAT for Netflix.
WILLIAM TELL is on release and Tempest has produced Kirk Jones’ I SWEAR which is in cinemas now.
